Who has the following sickness? Please check or place an X. hepatitis B____________ hepatitis C_____________ AIDS__________________ Please share your experiences on getting/losing/finding your job. How did it affect the profession you have chosen? Have you even been discriminated? Do you think there should be a law that should protect these people/you from discrimination in work?
  2. provided you have graduated from your school and would soon work......things are different out there when you apply in the hospitals and nursing homes. they do check hep b and this could be a reason to disqualify you for the nursing job you are aspiring. we might as well ask the opinions of other nurses who were able to be employed even though they have this virus. i am calling the attention of those affected to share their experiences. what happens then to those immigrating from other countries like the philippines who has it? will they pass the immigration tests and be given green card also? mrs. tlc

hi mr. 3rd shift guy! i have been wondering if you were accepted in VA when they found out you had hep b. did they accept your application? do they check this disease in all hospitals you apply in the U.S. or Canada? what about in the immigration for giving green card? i have written here last time but not one single person had commented on my thread...maybe i will post again the same thread. thanks a lot!
  4. the thread i have read on hep c really sounds scary. i wonder if they tests hep b in the immigration when you are given green card(medical exam.). i have pending application in america...will i pass it if i am hep b? what about med. tests in nursing homes and hospitals ...are you required all the time to have it before starting work? what happens after undergoing all the procedures of hiring and passing nclex....you were found to have hep b...will they not allow you to work? what will happen to us? i am calling the attention of those with hep b...please share your experiences. how come they have excuses and special laws for aids patients with regards to work conditions...why not have one with people like us affected with hep b? life i think is not fair.....they have to give us a chance. how could law and the government protect us? we sure need to work and earn money...if we will not be accepted in the profession we have chosen where elase can we go? is this what we deserve after caring selflessly to the sick...i need answers! why couldn't we be treated like anyone else.....i am sure we are also god's children. where could we find solutions...is there any cure for this? how come hep patients are being treated...why not us also? are we doomed? please lift our spirits..... mrs.tlc
