    You can only get a work permit if you have a employer and seeing as a LMIA costs the employer over $1000 and they have to prove that they have advertised across Canada and can't fill the job I am sure...

    Generally your training has to meet the UK training and it used to be that ADN was not accepted by the NMC however now I believe it is on case to case basis. Only real answer will come from the NMC...

    If you are going to be living in NY then you have to do CVS with CGFNS. The process can take up to 6 months for CGFNS to obtain all the relevant paperwork so better to start sooner rather than later...

    Issue I see is if a work permit required every time you come to Canada for the 6 months then many employers and probably going to include agencies are not going to be willing to pay $$$$ every time...
