  1. I haven’t had any problems getting both my employer and college of nursing recognizing my degree. I haven’t heard that about CNO but when I applied many years ago we still sat the CRNE. NCLEX was a couple of years later
  2. I didn’t have BSN and registered in Canada, but it was way back in 2008. Things have changed but I would suggest trying, they will tell you if you need to make up nursing hours or need to do a return to work course. I did my BSN a few years ago now through Dundee university and had no problem with my college when I declared it.
  3. Probably better to apply to the state you plan to work and live in
  4. You require a employer willing to go the immigration route and sponsor you
  5. Some of the Canadian provinces will accept RMN but the process isn’t cheap and can be long
  6. EB is green card. You don’t need a lawyer to get your nurse registration sorted, they really aren’t needed until you have a employer and they are willing to sponsor you
  7. Would suggest contacting hospitals in the areas you want to live and work in and ask them if they are willing to sponsor
  8. You would need to find a employer willing to go through the process of work permit. You will still need to meet provincial college of registered nurse requirements
  9. I believe you can’t work on a F2 visa but will require the company to sponsor you for your own work visa
  10. I would suggest looking for employer willing to support for visa application but it doesn’t have to be a travel nurse as nafta isn’t difficult to obtain as long as you meet state requirements, have a license, visa screen certificate and a job offer
  11. Do you have a US SSN? California will not accept application without it.
  12. As per the. College of RN for Alberta International applicants Your first step towards becoming an RN in Alberta is to apply for assessment through the National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS). NNAS will determine whether or not you need to provide an English test, and you will need to have your test results submitted directly to them. Please see the NNAS website for details about English requirements for your NNAS application. Please note that university programs have their own English policies and that CARNA is not able to waive the English requirement for any university program. https://nurses.ab.ca/become-a-nurse/registration-requirements/english-language-proficiency
  13. The next step is applying to the state you plan living and working in. If you last applied to CGFNS back in 1991 then your paperwork will have to start over again
  14. Unless you have a US SSN or ITIN then you can’t submit anything to California
  15. Usually paperwork is good for 3 years. You shouldn’t have to take the NCLEX again but will need to resubmit paperwork and any other relevant documents. Because California requires a US SSN then you can’t submit anything until in the US and a number has been issued to you
  16. Nope, California as far as I am aware will not accept application without USSSN or ITIN
  17. California is a hard one to apply to and until you apply and submit paperwork they will not make a decision and just because you are licensed in one state cannot guarantee meeting California requirements
  18. NCLEX is the same so if passed in the US then all the provincial college requires is confirmation from BON. CNO is one of the longest processes out of all the provinces and if international trained it can take longer. Probably looking at a year ish and working once it has been sorted will all depend on status in Canada
  19. What are the requirements for PNP? Usually NNAS is for rage college of nurses for the province
  20. This should give you an idea https://www.NCSBN.org/14428.htm
  21. Moved to the NCLEX forum
  22. Moved to the NCLEX forum
  23. Moved to the Immigration forum you should be able to get it from the country you are currently living in. It is a long process and to work in healthcare a medical is required and work permit is usually issued on arrival if outside the country and you have a letter confirming you meet requirements for the work permit from the government. CIC website should have all relevant information
  24. Do you have any books? I would suggest checking out
