Hi, Wondering if any of you use one of the machines to do in home Protimes. If so, what machine do you use and what are your impressions? Any and all input appreciated!!

Major nursing shortage at our agency and management CONTINUES to take referrals!! Visits up to 7-10 per day (freq 2 of those will be Oasis adm) and 200-300 mi per day. We are all exhausted!!!!!!!!! RoadWarriorRN

Hi Isearl, We have 2 machines and they really do save time and mileage. Currently there is no Medicare reimbursment except for pt use if they have had a valve replacement. They cost $1200 to $2000 but you probably pay for the machine though in time ...

No way would I go back to a hospital. Even though HH paperwork, phone calls, etc are horrible at least I can do it at home in my comfy chair with my kids running around. I can also usually work my visits so I can make a MD appoint or go to a school...

In HH for last 12 years. Recently load getting worse...... caseload = 25-30 pts, 6-7 visits per day + 1 admission, 100-150 miles per day. Paper work and phone calls at home til 8-9p. On Call 1-2 nights per week. Work q3rd- 4th w/e. All this and ...

I average 100-125 mi/day. I get $0.29/mi........what are you guys paid?? Doesn't come close to covering expenses!!
