    I work level 1 where experienced nurses get 6 weeks. 2 weeks is way too short (and 6 is a bit long)
  9. Small hospitals will hire ADNs. Bigger hospital will do it after 1 yr ED experience. I started out in smaller hospital and then moved Level 1 in 2 yrs.

    Go for it!! I started out Level II and now work Level I. Been working over 3 yrs with only ER experience. I love my job and I hope you will too.

    Navy scrubs required by my previous ER. Navy scrubs with hospital logo given to us by our new ER. In both hospitals, every department wears scrubs too.

    You would be an XS. I wear a Small and I wear a size 6 pant. I wear a medium top because I find them tight across the chest.

    Review ACLS, know your intubation drugs, review how to set up chest tubes and art lines and you'll be fine. Good luck to you. i'm glad you were able to switch to ED.
