What area do you live in? I went to a hospital school of nursing, and I had no hospital experience before I started. I think RN is the way to go. Where I work, there are not many jobs for LPNs. I work in labor and delivery, and we don't have any LPNs...

You do need experience. I am in an RN to BSN program now. From Frontier's web site - Have one year of nursing experience. The Admissions Committee may consider other significant experience in health care. Richelle

LPNs cannot do IV push in PA, but can hang IVs. Any RN, diploma, ADN, BSN, can do IV push.

I'm not sure how many they take, they did tell me that I had to wait so long after my interview because they were doing the Feb. and March applications first. I know the deadline is April 28th, so I'm sure you still have time.

Our hospital delivers 10,000 a year. We often have 7 couplets. We bath the baby in the room for a prime, in the nursery if a multip, after 2 good temps 2 hours apart. If blood sugars are needed, we wait until those are done before bathing.
