I’m supposed to start on 9/3. I’m so excited and nervous all at once. I love the feedback from previous students. I’m just happy to be starting this journey finally, good luck to everyone!!!!

@aperry245 I thought you started the ASN program last fall?! I remember you being on a thread with a few of us anxiously awaiting acceptance letters. As well as commenting about health insurance waivers. Did you not attend after all? Or did you not g...

I have to disagree with this post. I think it's just something some LPN/LVNs go through. I've been working in acute care for 3 years right out of school, a very busy cardiac floor. I've gained a great insight to what deathly ill patients look like. I...

I don't mean to discourage anyone, and I'm happy that you were accepted, just an FYI this program is quite challenging. It is mainly because majority of the BSN instructors have left and still are so some of the instructors are being told weeks befor...

I believe it's once a week, and clinical days are usually during the week as well. I think the further you they alternate the lecture day and clinical day.

No, its not true. My friend graduated from MSC and she tried and they told her if she wanted to sit for the PN NCLEX she should have gone through that program first. The CNA is a test you can challenge you don't need formal training for that. .. hop...

Has anyone received their schedule yet? Mine says that my classes are located at the WR campus, but in the "Jones" building. If I do remember the Jones building is in Macon. I'm a little confused, I emailed my advisor and one of the instructors but n...

It's really going to depend on where you're moving to in Georgia and the experience you bring with you. I live in Middle Georgia area and I work in a hospital. I make 18.40 an hr plus an extra $4 shift diff for working nights. That's not average pay ...

Well I feel better that I'm not the only one. It just frustrates me that I could potentially be dropped from my classes because the payment is still needed. One would think FA would be priority for the students.
Strivin2BgreatNurse replied to lorahump78's topic in Georgia
Is anyone else having problems with their FA being processed? This is really driving me crazy, it seems I'll have to pay out of pocket to avoid being dropped from my classes.

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they're just offering it to so many students who knows. I thought about calling the advisor to ask but changed my mind. Just waiting to take this last class this summer and start the program in the Fall.
Strivin2BgreatNurse replied to lorahump78's topic in Georgia
I honestly don't care how many more they take or not, I've secured my space and that's all that matters to me at this point. Besides getting a straightforward answer out of that school is like pulling teeth. It think it's better to let whatever they'...

I spoke with the nursing advisor today while at the WR campus completing my FA paperwork. She stated that they are not accepting another set number for the BSN program for Fall. She stated it would basically be the offset of the students that turned ...

I wonder how they're going to split 120 students between the campuses. I'm sure since this is the first time they're doing it there's going to be a bit of trial and error going on. I just hope this big class doesn't interfere with the effectiveness o...

I think that's the reason I applied for the BSN, there isn't much time diff between ASN and BSN in Ga. One extra semester and not having to worry about going back for another year to get my bachelors made more sense to me.
