WooHoo! The facility I work in was ranked in the top fifty in "Heart and Heart Surgery". How cool. I love my job and we have a nice facility with caring people. It's nice to see. :)
I didn't read everyone's posts on this one, I stopped at this comment Dave, you are a fool if you think that's ALL a RN does. And IF you finish school and pass the boards, I don't want to work with you. Also, I don't appreciate being lumped into...
In my school, there seem to be two different types of students (of those that graduated). The first was the student who aced all the tests, but was uncomfortable and sweated clinicals. The second (of which I am one) excelled in clinicals and sweated ...
There are more opportunities for BSN nursing, mainly in management. Not necessarily in bedside nursing. I am a ADN RN working toward my BSN. I recieved my ADN last year, have worked a year and will continue to work while I'm working on my BSN. There ...
In the nursing classes, the programs are structured so that they build onto the information you received the class before. So you are constantly using what you learned before plus adding to it. That increases the workload. Good luck.
Same here. The nurses during clinicals were fine. They were either very helpful and friendly or they just didn't have anything to do with us. Which was fine. As for the nurses I work with now, I can truly say they are a wonderful group of women (and...
I think that those who go into nursing find out pretty quickly that there's not alot of money in it. And some figure out in school that this is not what they want. Maybe that's why school is structured the way it is - to weed out. There was a guy in...
I just wanted to add something. :) I do think that RN's need BSN's, however, I really appreciate the fact that I can work as a RN while working on my BSN. I feel like it makes me appreciate my degree that much more. :)
We just started using them a couple of weeks ago (about the time this thread was started). We have also had pts put on hold waiting for shipments of the new stent. So far, no has had to wait more than a day.
I agree. Mario, I'm glad to see you are moving on, but it doesn't sound like you have taken responsibility for your actions. You continue to blame someone else. I wish only the best for you. Good luck.
I have no advice. I don't know anything about disability pay. I will keep your friend and her daughter in prayers. I pray everything works out well for her.
I didn't post on the other threads about this subject, mainly because I do plan on cont. on for my BSN this coming fall (I graduated last May and wanted to work a year before I started back to school). But I believe that RN's should be a BSN, mainly ...
Hi VB, glad you joined the BB. This a good place for information and the Student Nursing forum is a wonderful place for support. :) Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. :)
I don't have little ones, mine are teenagers and my oldest is already out of the house, so that makes my job a little easier. I usually go to bed between 0230-0300. I wake up around 1000-1030. If I have an appt. I usually schedule it for around 1000 ...
Those who are looking at the Navy might want to talk to a recruiter, because I heard somewhere that you could join as a Warrant Officer with ADN. The Air Force no longer has CWO's, but the Coast Guard does and it's the same for them.
