    sorry didn't mean to offend.. i thought a cst was an aid ( who is not licensed) .. we don't have cst 's where i work ... i think if you have a nursing license you should be able to work as a nurse not...

    this is the trend the hospitals are heading toward at this time. the hospital where i work dosen't hire LPN's at all. i'm sorry you have to work as a cst and have a nursing license, how insulting.....

    i think you should go straight for your RN. daytonite is right , LPN's are not being utlized in hospitals as much now. LPN's do work in nursing homes and home health and hospice. it's a shame LPN's...

    our protocol is 16 hours before MRI 50mg benedryl and 50mg prednisone, then 12 hours repeat , then 6 hours before repeat prednsione and benedryl , then right before procedure repeat

    at the hospital i work in only the RN's ( we don't have LPN's) are allowed to heplock a pt's iv. we had a CNA do that once about 4 years ago and she HL'd a pt's iv and the pt was on a heparin drip....
