Initially, I always address my patients by their last name. I then ask what they prefer to be called or if they have a nickname. Nine times out of ten they prefer their first name.

The program I graduated from required the nursing entrance exam (NET). I know that other schools take the hesi entrance exam, and some do not require any entrance exams. It really depends on where you are going to apply. Hope this helps, Good Luck!
