I don't think they're illegal. The women's health clinic where I work part-time still uses the needle systems. I hate those things! I was trained with completely needless systems.

Just my two cents, depending on his level of functioning, is he able to ask for pain meds? Also, they teach us in school that it is best to take pain meds before the pain gets severe...to "stay on top of it" if you will. Do you have rationale for it...

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm in my second semester of the traditional program at UMSL, and my GPAs (especially science GPA) on admission were WAY lower than yours. Good luck!
