Hello ... I am a nurse working in AED .... when I did a suture to a patient last day ... Her blood accidentally splashed and sprayed to my eye ( I didnt wear googles)... I immediately washed with water and informed my supervisor and did blood test. But the source refused blood test strongly and said she was healthy. When I looked at her history and its just hypertension. Seems the risk is very low for contacting Hep C and Hiv, but I still get very anxious and wanna know how can I reduce the feeling? anyone could help? (will hv blood test 3 month later)

I have learned from this mistake........I feel so sad......but I don't want to hurt anyone...

the patient on is this drug becoz of fever>38.5oC...... Voltaren is an ampule which contain 75mg in 3ml of solution... it can be IMI and IV but only for slow infusion..........

I knew I made a big mistake..............I did not read the instruction and unfamiliar with the drug....... I just concern will it cause large harm to the patient?

I did not dilute it in 100 NS....... I give it IV push..............

I did call the doctor ..... and the vital signs are stable over 3 hours........ I am worried about will it harm the patient severely....I am a new grad... I know I am stupid..........

I wrongly give IVI bolus voltaren 75mg to a patient ...... Will it cause the patient to die or shock??..... I know I did not check the presciption before I gave the injection... I am so worried now......

Here is the thing......I am in my final year of student nurse...but I still can't get rid of performance anxiety.... I am an extreme nervous person........when I get SC, IV, IMI etc in front of someone...I can clearly feel my heart beats and my hands sweat and shake.... So I start to avoid doing such things to prevent embarrassment... But half year later I will become a RN.... I want to practice more ............. does anyone have the similar experience and suggest some solutions for my situation................ PLEASE HELP ME.............. It has made me crazy and stress ..................THANKS!!
