nursing theories help

Hello..I am doing a community project about promoting children 's (10-14 yrs) awareness about obesity and the importance of exercise. The mentor requires me to apply nursing theories in the project. Could you make some suggestions to me? I've found those theories for 1 wks already but still can't apply those to the objective of the project. Please help me.....the deadline is next week......Thanks a lot!!!

Are you looking for nursing theories or nursing diagnoses? It seems to me that nursing diagnoses would be more appropriate.

Do you need a theoretical framework? If so, you might want to use one of the more narrow "minor" theorists rather than the big global ones.

The one I used in my BSN program was Imogene King.

Client goals are met through transaction between client and nurse. The goal of nursing is to bring the client to a healthier state.

Look at her Goal Attainment Theory. It might work well with what you're doing.
