Can an LPN be a wound care nurse?

What is the title of the nurse that calls people at home before procedures to verify information and go over pre op instructions. I know it's an RN but what is the title. Thank you in advance.

I'm PO 2 months total knee replacement. Wondering if any nurses were able to go back to 12 hour positions on the floor or did you go to desk jobs. I'm still having tolerable pain during the day but the pain every night is unbearable. I barely sleep. I scream most of the night. I stopped the narcs a week ago. I really don't want to take narcs at this point. If you went to a new job, off the floor, what type of job did you get? Any input or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much B52. I was actually looking for hospitals in Northern Florida. I lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 10 years before moving to North Carolina. I would really prefer Northern Florida or Eastern Tennessee. Thanks again!

I've been searching for Florida ER's that have a psych / behavioral health unit in them. I was a Cardiac stepdown nurse for 12 yrs, CCU for 2 years, traveler in cardio for 2, & my last 2 years have been in psych. I worked in an ER in North Carolina in their "psych pod" for 6 months. They didn't have a need for a full time nurse so I transferred to their inpatient beh health at that time. I've left that hospital & have been working in a psych hospital since then. I really loved working in the psych er area & want to go back to it in Florida. All replies will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!

I traveled with my dog & cat. I looked up "pet friendly short term apartments". Found several but they do charge a pet deposit which is was $300 per pet. I also had to take out renters insurance and show proof to the management but they only cost $18 per month.

I interviewed on Monday. It seed to go very well. The Manager even offered to give me different hours to offer me a choice in shifts. She also gave me a tour of the department. My friend just started working there & they told her that they loved me. It's Thursday now & I still haven't received an offer for the job. Would it be appropriate to call the manager tomorrow to inquire on the status? Thank you!

Can the dye inserted into the bladder during a Cystogram damage the kidneys of a diabetic. Especially if he had IV contrast for 2 consecutive days prior to it? Thank you. Annette

Why is it so hard to get into case management if you don't have experience? Everyone in it had to start as a CM without experience at one point in their career. I'm really starting to believe that it's not what you know, it's who you know. Without a friend to pull for you, a CM position is impossible to obtain. So frustrating!!!!

I have 7 yrs experience in Stepdown & 2 in critical care & can't seem to even get an interview for a Hospice position. Why is it so difficult to get a Hospice job. What else do I need? How can I get into Hospice? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

How were the pre-tests for Parallon? I have to take the math, cardiac rhythms & pharm tests. I'm not a great test-taker. They told me that all their tests are timed & you only get 2 chances.
