    Making the Jump..

i would definately check out the nclex pass rates for whatever schools you consider. make sure you choose a school that will prepare you to pass, not just to graduate.

Already have B.S. in Biology and want to go back to school for nursing

the big question is do you want to go further in school with nursing becoming a NP or CRNA. if you do, getting into an accelerated BSN program would probably be the best for you. my school's accelerated bsn program is completely financed by the local hospitals and the hospitals pay your tuition as long as you sign a contract to work for them after you graduate. the downside of the accelerated bsn program is not that many openings (10 a semester at my school) and the GPA acceptance level is extremely competitive. only 3.7-above get in. compared to a 3.1-above in a normal bsn program.

    Drop Rate for Nursing School

my class started at 113 and we are now less than 60. and that was after our first clinical class. we still have 2 years left of school. every school is different in drop rate. most of the people that have dropped in my class didnt want to try hard in school to make the grades so they dropped or they couldnt make the grades and they dropped.

    1+ 2+ 3+ Edema Rating Scale?

its a 0-4 rating scale. 0 being none 4 being massive edema. its judged on how long the skin stays pitted after you press on it and how much the skin pits.

My hospital took my March Madness away from me.

why not just run it outside of hospital grounds, set up a website or something. i know at the hospital i worked at the nurses ran superbowl pools, but they got shut down. the doctors ended up picking it up and running it instead. hospital never tried to tell them anything because they were doctors. ive even seen doctors run "see who gets canned pools" at the hospital when the ceo goes on a firing rampage.
