de sating =desaturation means thier po2 is dropping, usually they have a pulse ox on, the lttle red light on the finger, and it is dropping below 90.

Yup, it's related to O2 saturation. Optimal O2 satuartion is 95%-100%in a healthy adult--usually when it drops below 90% you will hear that the patient is "desating."
