I don't know why they don't just do this as the applications start coming in. It makes no sense to me to wait until the deadline to start going through everyone's stuff, now we have to wait extra days and it's all over the place.

I think it's random. I turned mine in on the first day the app opened. Nope. My application status changed like2 or 3 weeks ago, but I have no points or anything else, therefore I haven't received the e-mail.
