Agree,I get 56-65$ as RN for wd care,but drive home and see max 10-12 pts,but herr they take by quantity30-40 pts by day and reimbursement is not much,so far I like it,good for start as a new NP

If you have medical contraindications they can’t force you,but you will have to wear PPE all the time

Yes,I can tell for sure that NP gets paid more.in NY start salary is 130k.I got offers for 125-130k so far,but they don’t count your experience as RN,you start from 0

quick update..I love it so far:) it's additional to main job,I go there once a week,review wounds and give recommendations.see around 30-40 pts per day,doing round in one nursing home.

I meant % of reimbursement they get from my visit...They promise around 30 pts a day and give scribe..It worth to try I think,will update how it worked out for me thanks again!

Yes,that what the Dr was doing who I shadowed the other day..just measure and consult,debridment if needed..and yes,I will have scribe for rounds...

Wounds can be different,starting from small scratches from fall up to 4th pressure ulcer with open bone,muscle or not healing surgical wounds,complicated ostomies and etc.Wd care can be from ssd application up to wd vac.I have a passion for wounds and really enjoy it:)

I work as RN in home care and experienced in wounds for last 8 years.I visit up to 10-12 patients in homes,but the job I offered is a daily visit to nursing home.So per day you can see during each round 20-30 patients with scribe.It's tough,but if you experienced you can handle it.
