Kathy Sokol has experience teaching Fundamentals, Adult Health and Nursing Pharmacology at both Associate Degree and Prelicensure BSN levels. Kathy has been involved in the set-up, training and management of several simulation labs throughout the country for a large, for-profit university. She established the first simulation lab on the Sarasota, FL campus of a statewide college of nursing and was instrumental in facilitating sim activities into the curriculum. She authored several nursing simulations and designed an electronic health record for use with the scenarios. Kathy has served on admission, review, and curriculum committees. She represented Fundamentals and Pharmacology cohorts on a national course committee. Kathy played an active role in the Sarasota County Clinical Consortium from 2010-2014. In 2017 she was nominated for the Daisy Award for nursing excellence. She has published a number of articles on simulation for LinkedIn and has an adult learning page on facebook.
