  3. Hi just wanted to reach out with past or current students of the LVN to BSN bridge program for Sam Houston. I wanted to ask how long this transition program is and how many student are accepted each term. I went on the school website and its very broad in imformation. I also wanted to know anyones experiences good or bad about this program. Since there is a limit of LVN to BSN programs in Texas I wanted to apply to this school once I complete my LVN program this year. I just need advice on if this is a good school in order to progress in my nursing career. Thank you !!

    Feeling anxious about nursing school

Thank you for the advice !! I have heard so much about the Saunders study book and I will purchase it before I start. Does it matter if its the newest addition? or can I get a older version? And congratulations on graduating ! How is working as a LVN vs CNA is the work different or more of the same.

    Feeling anxious about nursing school

I just got accepted into nursing school at my local community college. I got into the LVN program and I was so excited and now that's all I talk about nursing school. But now that it's getting closer to the starting date I'm getting anxious. I want to be able to do well and perform to the best of my ability. but I'm constantly having butterflies about starting that first week. I'm also concerned about the possibility of it being converted online due to the coronavirus. Is anyone else having the same feelings about starting nursing school in Fall 2020? I would love to hear any feedback on other personal experiences when they first started nursing school and how they overcame this.

    LVN Wharton FALL 2020 Applicants

I emailed her as well and she told me the same thing. I was bummed that they are not accepting more students its only about 45 they accept. I thought they would have more people being accepted especially because they extended the deadline.

    LVN Wharton FALL 2020 Applicants

I didn't know they extended the deadline..where did you hear that information from? I thought they only extended certain programs I never got a email saying they extended the deadline. And when I applied you have to go to mail your forms to main campus in Wharton Tx

    Chamberlain College of Nursing-HESI Test

I completely understand nobody has time to waste nowadays. I chose LVN because I wanted a transition from CNA to nursing.I didn't think I could handle BSN program. I'm only 20 so I have some time to keep going to school and make my goal of becoming a BSN in the future. I wish you well in your nursing career and in your psychology career. I know you'll get into your program.

    Chamberlain College of Nursing-HESI Test

Hi Chempansy I hope that you get accepted into nursing school I tried applying there but I didn't meet the requirements so I chose to do LVN and progress from there. I would hope the programs would be aware of the times we are living and reconsider the amount of people that are admitted to their programs. The need for nurses is very adamant in the news. A lot of the nursing deadlines have been extended so hopefully we will hear soon from our programs
  13. HI I recently applied to the LVN program in Wharton County Junior College and just wanted to see if there are other applicants out there who I could reach out to. I haven't found anyone in my area that I know who applied. Acceptance letters come out next month ! Countdown begins! If there is anyone out here that finished their LVN program at Wharton could you please give me pointers or tips on how to be successful in the program. THANKS

    LVN Wharton Fall 2020

HI I applied to Wharton LVN program a couple weeks back. I've been looking for others that also applied to the same program. I hear that we get our results back in April if we get accepted or not. I know they take 45 students each LVN program but due to the recent events of corona do you think they will take more students? I'm really nervous because my GPA is only a 2.8.

    Chamberlain College of Nursing-HESI Test

Hi good evening I actually got my HESI Exam canceled due to the corona virus. The testing centers are closed until further notice so I guess I can take this time to study for my HESI Exam. I recently applied to a LVN program using my previous TEAS exam score. I get my results back next month if I get accepted in the program or not. I chose not to apply to Chamberlin because the cost of the program was so high and my HESI Exam being canceled. Hopefully I get accepted to the LVN program. They only take 45 at my school but due to the corona virus do you think they will accept more students due to the rapid need for nurses ?
  16. Good Evening, Im scheduling my HESI exam to apply for the may application for chamberlain college of nursing in Houston and I'm taking the HESI at a different location for a cheaper price. Will my scores be transferable if im not taking it at Chamberlain? As long as its above the required score for the school it shouldn't be a issue to get my scores mailed? I don't want to schedule my test without knowing if it will be accepted. If anyone has an idea how it works please let me know thanks
