  1. Woohoo! That's great to hear! I'm looking forward to starting classes and meeting you, along with the rest of our classmates, very soon. ?
  2. I just found out today that I was accepted into the program! Thank you so much for the info, I really appreciate it!
  3. Hi there! The admission requirements for the school of nursing itself at CSS didn't have any drug testing requirements. That said, if you ever were to be placed at a CentraCare clinic or hospital location around the St. Cloud, MN, area, they would require you to pass a drug test prior to any rotations with them. Hope this helps!
  4. Hello everyone! I just applied to The College of St. Scholastica's DNP-PMHNP program in MN for a May 2022 start date. I just wanted to reach out and see what you thought my chances of being accepted were? They said that they will be reaching out with an admissions decision the first week of March, so needless to say I'm going to be anxiously checking my email until then. Here are my stats: nursing GPA: 3.80 cGPA: 3.48 Years of psychiatric RN work experience: <1 I also have a bachelor's degree in psychology in addition to my BSN, so I'm hoping they'll take this into consideration when reviewing my experience. Attended The College of St. Scholastica for my BSN as a post-baccalaureate nursing student, graduated magna cum laude. I thought my personal statement and secondary essay were great, but I realize that this is completely subjective. I wasn't sure how many applicants they accept per cycle, how competitive admission to the program was, or what the "typical" applicant looks like for this program, so that's why I wanted to get y'alls input on this. Thanks so much!
  5. Hi everyone! I just wanted to create this thread for those students who have been accepted into CSS’ May 2020 cohort on the St. Cloud campus! If anyone wants to, I though we could use this page to get to know each other before the program starts and all that good stuff (I can even go ahead and create a FB page for our class if there are enough people who want to). Let me know your thoughts on this! I’m so excited to start and I’m looking forward to hearing from and getting to know you all!
  6. Hi there! I’m so sorry that this is such a delayed response, but I just wanted to get back to you about your questions that you had regarding CSS’ PBN program! I’m a current student in the Post-Bac program at the St. Cloud, MN, campus. The admissions process was fairly straight forward: once I applied, all of the applicants in my cycle had to wait roughly two months from the application deadline date to hear back about admissions decisions. I applied for a May start, and I found out that I was accepted in the first week of January (since applications were due at the beginning of November). My pre-req GPA was 3.54, and I had all of the pre-reqs completed when I submitted my app except for Lifespan/Developmental Psych. Let me know if you have any other questions! Hopefully you’ve heard back from the admissions committee by now since you said that you applied for Duluth’s May 2020 cohort! Best of luck to you! ?
