    Yes, I think verbal offers before reference checks have happened before (I've seen in previous threads), but I'd imagine it's contingent on good references... then they'll get the official offer...

    Interviewed Monday morning, received offer call Wednesday morning, call from HR shortly after that, then received offer letter by ~noon on Wednesday. I don't think all units work this quickly however...
