So, I failed out of my ADN program twice at one school. I'm starting again at another school in May.
May to August (I believe?) is an online LPN to RN seminar kind of thing, where they catch you up to speed to the RN semesters. I did this kind o...

Some jobs do it too! My job did it via an outside pharmacy company. So now I am IV certified (despite being an LPN, which is allowed in Massachusetts).

I had a similar situation. I was making $34 an hour at my per diem job, but went to a doctor's office job and took a $12 pay cut. I loved the job, but the financial hit (and drive) were just too much to handle. I ended up going back to that per diem ...

Same here in MA, I am a supervisor, and both LPNs and RNs do assessments and admissions. I am an LPN as well.
All of our unit managers are all LPNs aside from one RN.

This is what happened to me overnights, except I'm an LPN. I used it as a buff for my resume, which helped me get a nursing supervisor job at another facility.
It can definitely be hard, but maybe you can use it to your advantage. I also think ...
As someone who got many jobs and left them/got fired by them, I understand how you feel. If you aren't happy, find another specialty. It can be hard.
Do you prefer in-patient or out-patient? Or which did you like more? I think that's a good ste...

Would someone working in a regular office be okay with the public watching them do their job, against their will? A common man doing a common 9-5 job, watch...
Thank you so much! That sounds wonderful! I wish you luck with it.
I've only had aortic. I have found that stress and exhaustion at work does trigger cardiac symptoms, such as my heart rate going up.
That's great! I hope you can get it!

Wonderful article, Beth!
I do have a question. In the nursing home, I've seen succinate given with and without regard to BP/HR, with no parameters.
Is a BP/HR check vital to the long acting? I've personally never seen a difference with suc...
Wonderful article. After failing out in the last semester of an ADN program, I've learned a lot and changed studying tactics for a new school. I got accepted to another ADN program for Fall of 2024, LPN to RN. I'm hoping to meet great professors, cla...
Congrats!! What I've been doing for my new supervisor job is get a notepad and write all my notes on it, such as how to do this, how to do that etc. Then I put it into a cute new small notepad, that way I can throw out the big papers and keep the lit...
Oh my goodness. I had an aortic valve replacement surgery in 2021!! Who knew we were so similar.
It seems like you've roughed out your issues so far. It's so much to deal with. I'm so glad you got so far in your career and now you're looking int...
