As of May 2023, the Florida application did not ask about arrests. The specific question about legal history was:
" Have you ever been convicted of, or entered a plea of guilty, nolo contendere, or no contest to any crime in any juri...

Hi there,
Many states don't require self-disclosure of prior criminal history, and some states that do require disclosure only look back a certain period of time. I am not sure about Maryland in particular, but Pennsylvania and Delaware do not ...
CONGRATS! Expungement exists so people can get on with their lives, so it's good to use it to our advantage (but beware some states like Ca might still require disclosure of expunged charges).

I just want to caution against taking advice on message boards like this one where well intentioned members might give advice that is based on incorrect assumptions and might even be detrimental. In many states, when a charge is expunged you are leg...
MOST STATES DO NOT REQUIRE THAT EXPUNGED CHARGES BE DISCLOSED. In most states, you are legally allowed to answer “no” with regards to questions about arrests and convictions of expunged charges. If you disclose these charges, you might be shooting y...
Has anyone here participated in the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program? If so, what was your experience? Was it easy to find a good job in your area? Did you have administrative headaches dealing with HRSA? Did you request a suspension and get accept...

A lot of states require nurses to report charges or arrests within a month so if your state requires that and you didn't do that in 2018 but now you say "look here, it's expunged" they might say "great, we won't hold the dui against you but you faile...

@SexyMaleNurse I know this thread is long dead but if you're around it would be nice to hear what the outcome was. Also that state, because each board is different. Hoping you're well and able to practice!

Hi @anewmanx, How do you know you have COVID-19? I get that the symptoms match up, but I don't know if that's enough to make a likely diagnosis. So far, most states have only been testing probable cases, the nationwide positive rate is about 13%. (...

Why require 15 “quality posts?” Was there a problem with spam at one point? I wanted to send a message but this rule prevented me. I am genuinely curious and would love to understand! thanks!

Hi beachbabe86 and dg90339, it is not true that all expunged cases will show up on an FBI background check. I recommend running a background check on yourself using a service like identogo, and if expunged cases show up you can request that the FBI r...

Hi @TraumaRN-CRNA2020 What state was the offense in, and what state was the BON? Each state’s BON has different procedures and is governed by different laws. Do you know what kind of background check the BON performed? I can’t say anything about you...

Hi @2bamboo I am currently a nursing student in Pennsylvania and while I can’t speak for licensing by endorsement, I will say that I know some nurses who have nursing licenses who also have some pretty serious (but nonviolent) felonies in their backg...
Hello everyone, I’ve read a bunch of threads on this site but I have some unanswered questions about Pennsylvania’s licensing process. I’m currently a student and excited to start as a nurse next year but I’m a little worried that my past might come ...

Facesmuscles, same here. This website won’t let me send a PM until I have 15 “quality posts.” Anyway, I wonder if we could petition that the application be changed as well as PNAP. There are two things that strike me as grossly unfair on the applic...

Hi @rn1965, thanks for your advice! However I don’t exactly have no record, but as far as I can tell the pa BON has no reason to dig deeper than my pa record which is clean. And yeah I’ve heard the monitoring programs are pretty awful. I spoke to ...
