My career goal is to one day have my own med spa offering botox and filler injections. I live in Texas and I believe Texas will allow RNs to perform these injections under an NP or PA. Does anyone have any information about how to go about this? I have been trying to find more information but its hard getting an exact answer since states have different laws.

The job description of a legal nurse consultant sounds very similar to the position I am interviewing for. I could not think of what to search to get a better understanding of the position. Thank you! I am actually very interested now after reading more about legal nurse consultants.

I will shadow the nurse that is retiring, who has been there for 21 years, (who they are trying to replace) next week. It is full time with benefits. "Passion"... I guess it is because in nursing school, almost everyone had a inspirational story as to why they chose nursing. My reason... I needed a career and I liked science. ? I agree with you, the word passion is misleading and maybe that has made me feel like I am not meant to be a nurse because I do not feel over the moon providing patient care.

Hello all. I am a newish nurse. I was a LVN for 2.5 years and RN for 3 months now. I've only worked in direct patient care in clinics and currently work in the OR as a circulator. I have yet to find my passion though. I enjoy talking to people/ patients, educating and giving advises and recommendations. I love the anatomy and physiology part of nursing but not so much the patient care part. I recently interviewed with an ortho surgeon who works attorneys and the patients who have been injured. He is in court a lot and testifies on what type of injury and surgeries were performed. The position would mainly be back office stuff. Getting documents ready, obtaining patient's statements and information and setting court dates. This would be completely different than what I have done as a nurse. Has anyone heard of this type of nursing role? Any insight? Thanks, Nurse looking for her passion

Have you guys purchased your books yet? When I try to purchase mine, 2 required book packages comes up. One for 650 and the other for 350. I thought it was only one ebook package and the 2 actual books that can be purchased on Amazon?

I actually re read the letter right after I posted and noticed that only the receipt had to be turned in by the 20th. I was thinking the blue card needed to be turned in by the 20th.

Hello, I'm currently a LVN and applied for RN school, waiting to get accepted. My career goal is to become a CRNA. I feel like I'm so far away from reaching that goal but will try my hardest to reach it. I've looked up a couple schools that offer the program but I'm not sure if I could apply once I have my BSN and at least 1 year critical care experience or if I need to have my MSN before applying to the program? I'm not 100% clear about the steps I need to take to get to my dream. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello, It's been a while and I was just checking in. Have ya gotten any new updates? September is in a few weeks and it can't come fast enough!

I reapplied with 29 points. Paula said letters probably wont go out until September since they'll be busy with the August class starting. She did say hopefully letters can go out mid-end of August but she's saying September to be on the safe side.

I dont have Facebook but keep me updated on ya's journey. I'm retaking a class and hopefully pass with an A to give me 29 points
