  1. Program is racist and they do favor other races. All reviews are all over the internet. I would NOT recommend this program!!
  2. I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I was in a accredited (CCNE) RN program with a 97% NCLEX pass rate for several years we were required to pass our exit exam to graduate from the program. It was a ATI Comprehension exit exam and you had to get a 90% likely to pass NCLEX score. You had two tries to pass. I know numerous of people in RN and BSN programs that are accredited by the CCNE and ACEN and are required to pass their exit exams or else they cannot graduate. So it’s not just approved programs with poor NCLEX scores that have this rule. It’s very common in most if not all nursing programs regardless if it’s state approved or accredited by the ACEN or CCNE.
  3. Doesn’t every nursing program have to take an exit exam regardless if the program is approved and/or accredited..
  4. Hi guys, I have a question I do not live in Florida I live in New Jersey. If I complete and graduate from the ADN program and pass the NCLEX will I be able to endorse my license to New Jersey or would I be able to only practice in Florida? Thanks!
  5. Yes it would be! Which is horrible because the exams are hard AF and a 75% average is challenging. If you were currently enrolled in classes prior to May 2021 then they cannot implement a 75% average because it will be in violation of Ohio laws.
  6. The 75% exam average minimum is illegal!! The dean tried to implement an exit exam and that you must pass with a 73.3 which equates to a 95% of passing the NCLEX to graduate in complex 2 course via syllabus. This “exit exam” is no where in the student nursing handbook and the program cannot just randomly implement things because they want too. The Spring 2021 cohort got an attorney and the students won because it is in violation of Ohio laws. The violation is the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4723-5 “The program shall not implement changes to policies for student progression, or requirements for completion of the program, regarding students enrolled in the program at the times the changes are adopted.” The dean took away the exit exam and students were able to take the ATI predictor exam but NOT being a requirement to graduation. If and only if the university wants to implement the 75% average it has to be when no students are enrolled like starting their first semester and it must be written in the handbook!! So they are still doing something illegal which screws students over! Attorney response below…
  7. Can anyone explain to me what the capstone class is all about? Is there any exams or clinicals? Also what is the exit exam all about? What score is needed to graduate and does the person have to fly out to Florida to take it or is it online? Thank you!

  9. Any review about Xavier ABSN make sure to put your review on Google review so people can see it. Google Xavier ABSN Cincinnati, Columbus or Cleveland and put your review on there based on the location you’re at so incoming students can see the reviews about this school!
  10. It’s low because the teachers do not teach the students, there are no study guides and real direction to set you up for success. There’s only so much as reading the textbook and watching Youtube videos can do with horrible testing questions.
  11. NEW UPDATES!! I am dedicated to helping nursing students get a great education and I have some new updates that have been implemented in this program and I want to share it with you all. I have a friend currently in the Spring cohort set to graduate on May 1st. She just told me that they just had a zoom meeting and that Xavier ABSN has changed a policy in the middle of the semester for the last class of nursing school NURS 499 Transition to Professional Nursing. They are changing it to an Exit ATI Exam. The staff said if you do not pass all three ATI proctors for course Nurs 499 with a 70% orabove you do not graduate it doesn't matter if you have an A in the class. Thisis all new! When I graduated Fall 2020we only had to take a predictor for NURS 499 NCLEX practice but it was not a pass/fail or hindered our graduation at all. The smartest guy inour cohort couldn't even pass it. His scores were like 55-60% it is very difficult since there is no way to really study for ATI exams since the teachers have no clue what are on the exams. I got a 40% from what I remember. It was 160 questions. They are basically trying to weed out the people that will not pass NCLEX to save their NCLEX score since it’s so low and not be on probation, which is so upsetting since nothing about an exit exam was implemented in the student handbook to any of the students prior to starting the program. However, Xavier has changed that as of today. I am so sorry that they are doing this. I thought I would give you a heads up so you will not be alarmed when you get to your last semester of the program that you will have to take an exit exam to graduate nursing school when that has NEVER been a policy in Xavier. I would advise everyone to email the director of the Xavier ABSN to complain, because you signed a handbook at the beginning of starting the program and nothing was said about taking an exit exam to graduate nursing school at Xavier they just randomly decided to do so. You all are paying way too much more to let one exam that they pulled out of the wood works to hinder you from graduating. People in the program are currently protesting it!

  14. I spoke to Dwayne ask for him. He was very detailed with everything. He told me that if you are an LPN you can take the gap test which has a mixture of fundamentals, Pharm, mental health, ob, peds and medsurg on the exam if you pass it you can waive only fundamental and pharm class. However, if you were in an RN program previously which in my case I was and have already took fundamentals, Pharm, mental health, ob, peds and medsurg 1&2 I can take the gap test and if I pass it all I can skip to capstone. This has been confirmed by Dwayne and the academic admission advisors upon viewing my unofficial transcripts.
  15. Good luck! I believe it's equivalent to an A.
  16. Actually they do accept nursing courses only if you were in another RN program not LPN. LPNs can only test out pharm and funds. I just spoke to the advisor. Also, there are plenty of schools that accept nursing courses. I've applied to about 10 schools already in the last week ACNE and CCNE accredited. You just have to research ? I was in another RN program and have took funds, med surg 1, 2, ob, peds, pharm and psych. They told me I can take the gap test and if I pass (850-900) is passing. I will go straight to capstone for 15 weeks then I will be graduated!
  17. Thank you! After the gap exam are you able to just skip courses?
  18. I am going to ask to switch advisors because mines is horrible. Also, does anyone know how the gap test is conducted? How many questions? Is it on proctoru or lockdown browser? Do I need a webcam?
  19. I know right it's literally pulling teeth with this college! I get we are in a pandemic but cmon!! Do you know if nightingale accepts nursing credits by any chance?
  20. What are the documents that's been submitted my advisor sucks he literally tells me nothing. I feel like the communication with this college is lacking.. I applied for the ADN program and entered all the information. However, there were no essays. Is there another application??? It told me an admission advisor will be in contact with me after filling out the info for the ADN program. I don't know where to go from here I call and no one ever picks up. I am trying to get everything in before the end of December.
  21. Hello everyone. I am looking to start in the feb start date. I am transferring from another nursing program. I have all the nursing credits besides NUR2811 Nursing Capstone4, NUR2811C Nursing Capstone Clinical4, NUR2811L Nursing Capstone Lab1 and SPC1017 Fundamentals of Speech. I have been communicating with an advisor and they said I would have to test out of the nursing courses completed. Is anyone familiar with this process and what type of tests that I have to test out of? I was not aware of any test I thought the credits would just transfer normally. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Hey all sorry I’ve been so busy with classes!! Please private message me for details on the questions you would like to know.
  23. Thank you I am honestly trying! It’s so hard to not have any direction of what I am studying but I am trying my hardest. The school is 100% accrediated so yes people have found jobs even before graduation. Make a good rapport with your clinical instructors and the nurses in clinical they can ultimately refer you or even help you get a job before graduation ? I took patho during my undergrad it was in class wasn’t too difficult of a class. Make the best decision that your heart is telling you to attend for nursing school. I wish you all the best in your nursing profession good luck. I will continue to give you guys updates as much as I can as I work my way through the program.
  24. I receive 2 A’s and 1 B term one and the same grades for second term too! I am believing in my faith that I will get through the program on time with my cohort! Second semester I am taking patho, pharm, mental health and adult. Exams will be every week so I hope I do well! *fingers crossed* I heard second semester is the hardest!
