    MCHPS graduate NP programs

thanks for your answers. it costs less than half of another school that I was considering attending, and also a significant amount less than one of the online program 2 of my coworkers attend. what rubbed me wrong: I completed my application, I contacted them to tell them that everything was in and I got an email stating it would be reviewed and I should here in 2-4 weeks. meanwhile, I still got weekly emails that my app was not complete. after 4 weeks, I contacted them and then had to wait another 4 weeks for them to review it. then, when I got my interview requests, there were no slots available for weeks. I made my appointment and the person was 20 minutes late contacting me, and asked to call me back. little things, but annoying, considering I got a notice stating that I was expected to be prompt and available. anyway, I enrolled... fingers crossed... it fits my life the best. thanks, again Kelly

I feel EXACTLY the same! The only part I am regretting is that I wasted time & money on the process. I would like to have the money spent on GRE & the app back as well as the time i put into studying for the GRE & writing my essay... but I digress. I was highly encouraged to apply by someone at Yale SON. Anyhoo, congrats to whomever got in, my second choice fits my life better in almost every way, so it feels like fate, Best wishes!

    MCHPS graduate NP programs

Hi, anyone currently in the MSN programs offered by MCHPS? I was accepted to an online program and it seems to really fit my budget and schedule, but a few things within the process have made me feel that it might not be a good choice, thoughts?

    Where to start?

a few pieces of advice: (I work in corrections) 1.the previous poster who said not to post, had great advice. I would not be posting anything online. 2. a drug test is irrelevant, you did not mention the type of drugs found in locker, and time has passed anyway. 3. I do not know the circumstance of your particular employment, but in my experience in corrections everything is investigated thoroughly and nobody is let go over anything that has not been proven. However, the union is extremely strong, and people rarely get fired even for blatant issues. When people are being investigated and is not within a working test or orientation period, the employee is generally asked to "resign, or we will terminate you, based on....". if it is within a working test, employees are "counseled" in writing if they have had any issues and termination still requires a pretty strong paper trail. 4. we have directives outlining how prescriptions medications may be brought into facility if you need them. 5 the circumstances here would also depend on if the medications were ones that the facility provides and there is suspicion you are taking/using inmate medication. anyway.... my few cents...

I heard from another program that wants deposit by March 28th. It is my second choice, but probably more manageable and WAY more affordable. Would be nice to hear from Yale, I submitted by app by the original due dat 11/1/18. Tired of waiting at this point and trying to just assume it will be a rejection, LOL

I was thinking that we might hear on the 15th. I think the GEPNs heard on Jan 15th & I think they need to give us some time to decide. Have you heard anything?
