  1. I believed if you start Fall 2019 expected graduation is Spring 2021. That’s what I was told by admission, but all depends on how long it takes you to complete your 728 hours of clinicals. There is also additional clases with additional clinicals hours if you decide to do a concentration.
  2. Hello, Duke University has a mostly online program for the FNP. They will arrange your clinical sites near you and there is no campus requirements during the first year. I believed there is a requirement of 3-4 times during the second year. I hope this helps Good Luck,
  3. This is a great topic. I’ll be starting FNP school after one year of being an RN, and l’ll continue to work full time while going to school. By the time I graduate with my FNP I’ll have 4 years of RN experience. For someone reason I don’t feel the support at work since most RNs there have 10+ experience and they are quick to have an opinion on my career choices. They have no desire on going back to school. I’m beginning to doubt about starting school. Any thoughts ?
  4. I went to school to the University of Minnesota and many of my classmates got jobs before graduation. Which hospitals are you applying ?
  5. Hello Kim, Duke University is a great school and have a long distant NP program. I’ll start this Fall while working over 40 hours a week.
  6. Hello, I’m sorry about your experience with UPenn, but that’s not my case. I applied and I got a very quick response from them. Good luck and I hope everything works out.
  7. I’m sorry I meant 84 hours every two weeks that’s my set schedule as a military nurse.
  8. Unfortunately that’s my set schedule as a military nurse. I was wondering if you could give share some information regarding the amount of workload for the core courses ?
  9. I’m sorry I meant every two weeks.
  10. Hello, I just got accepted to the FNP program at Duke and I’ll be working 84 hours /week while going to Duke part time. Are you going part time or full time ?
  11. Is anyone else applied for the FNP-BSN? I’ll like to get in touch with anyone who also got accepted to the same program.
  12. I’ll try to attend, but I don’t think I can make it. I hope is not mandatory.
  13. I applied for the BSN-FNP and I didn’t got a notification, but I went to my portal and it saw the decisions letter.
  14. ??? anyone else applied for the BSN- FNP ?
  15. Did you got an email today ? I didn’t got any email today.
  16. I don’t want to get my hopes up, and not get in ??‍♀️
  17. I got this email. Did anybody else got it ? “I hope this email finds you well with Spring directly around the corner. 18. Under status mine only saids: Interview Well, I’ll just have to wait.
  19. Hello HiFive, I paid 300 dollars of deposit ? fee.
  20. No news and it is driving me crazy!! I got accepted to UPenn and I already accepted it because I didn’t want to take my chances. Duke is my first choice since they offer a distant learning.
  21. I agreed, I really don’t think NP schools will consider the level of ABSN.
  22. Hello, I’m in the process to start DNP FNP part time online program this Fall, and I have a full time job working 84 hours a week. I also have 3 kids at home. I think so possible as long as you are willing to put the time and the work. It is not going to be easy but I’m positive that it is manageable. I did my BNS full time, work part time while managing a household with three kids and it wasn’t easy. You just have to wanted bad enough to make it.
  23. Hi, I recently graduated from a BSN program and I’m currently in the process to start BSN-DNP. During nursing school I did my very best to keep my GPA above 3.5 because all that good schools won’t even look at your application if you have bellow a 3.0 GPA. GPA plays a big role on getting accepted to a DNP program, but it is not everything that they look for when reviewing an application. Recommendation letters, essays, and life experiences can play a big role on getting you a spot into a program. Graduate level nursing schools are not looking for a 4.0 GPA, but they want someone who is well rounded it and has a decent GPA besides all the other requirements. I applied to 2 different schools and I got accepted to 1 and got an interview on the other school with a BSN GPA of 3.72.
  24. Hello Egesse, I was told the same thing by my interviewer and I haven’t heard anything yet. I was told that notifications regarding admissions will be send out by Mid March. Which specialty did you applied ? I applied for a BSN-DNP specializing on FNP.
  25. Hi I applied for the AGNP primary care back on December and I got an interview about a month later. And a few weeks ago I got my acceptance letter.
