  1. Hi Heidi, Congrats in getting into both programs. I was in your shoes last year as well. I got into both County and COC. I have two little ones so I knew COC was my preference since I live out in Santa Clarita and the commute would be challenging. I ...
  2. I got my acceptance as well but I will be declining it. I also got accepted to COC and I live in Santa Clarita. As far as points, I was at 80-82 points.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I took my TEAS somewhere else and submitted my score. I received an email a few days later that they received it and I'm eligible for selection. Maybe since you took it there, it's already accounted for.

  6. @jenlovespugs That is an amazing TEAS score! Way to go! I just added up my points, I am at 80 (or 82 depending on the Humanities course) with a 87.3% TEAS. This month is going by so slowly!

You are so sweet! Thank you for the encouragement! It has been long roads for all of us. We should all be proud!
  9. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

The wait is rough! Has anyone called the office to see when we can expect the emails? I know the website says the 20th-31st, just hoping it is sooner.
  10. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

I called the office about that. The person told me to not be too concerned about that because it depends on the class applying. I believe the cut off for fall 2018 was 65 points.
  11. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

That would be amazing if we heard something next week! We have all worked so hard to get to this point, and the home stretch is the hardest in terms of waiting.
  12. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

The wait is so hard! I hope they email us all closer to the 20th than the 31st. Good luck everyone!
  13. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

That is what I understood as well, however the past few semesters I have been reading that 65 or above got you into the program. BTW those are impressive stats! I have: 3.3 Overall GPA 3.6 Bio GPA 87.3% TEAS Bachelors degree plus two other extra po...
  14. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

I'm so nervous about my stats because of my overall GPA, it's only a 3.3, so I am hoping my bio and TEAS will make me competitive enough. Here's to the next few weeks passing quickly!

How does everyone feel about the test? Now the waiting game really begins! I am anxious to know what the point cutoff will be for this next semester.
  16. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

Yes! Good luck to everyone taking it! I just transferred my results to COC. Back to the waiting game now.
  17. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

Still nothing over here from COC. I applied there, the county, and planning on applying to PCC. COC is my first choice since i live out here and its where I did my prereqs. So anxious for some updates!
  18. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

Thank you! I would say science, but it also wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I purchased the study guide and practice tests through ATI and those are extremely helpful. I can;t believe how many people applied! That makes me so nervous!
  19. College of the Canyons Fall 2018

I just got my score back. I got an 87.3% which puts me at 69 points on the criteria. I am hoping that is good enough for this next semester.
  20. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

Hi! I got my score today. I got an 87.3%. I am bummed cause I was really aiming for 90%. That puts me applying with 69 points. Do any of you know what the cutoff was last semester?
  21. College of the canyons Spring 2019-COC 2019 Applicants

I am happy someone started this thread. I applied for Spring 2019 and anxiously waiting for the email from COC regarding the TEAS. I am actually taking it this Friday through an invitation through the County, but COC is definitely my first choice. I...
  22. College of the Canyons Fall 2018

I hope that's not the case. But you apply first then take the TEAS. Are you hearing that 70 is what gives you a better chance to get accepted? If that is the case, I need a 90% on the test! :/
  23. College of the Canyons Fall 2018

Hi, it took just under three weeks. Did you submit your recently?
  24. College of the Canyons Fall 2018

Congrats to those that got in for Fall 2018! I am applying for Spring 19 and just got my prereq eval back and I am good to apply in August. How was the TEAS for everyone? Also, any insight as to what point total got you into the program? I have my Ba...
