  1. Congrats and Good luck!!!
  2. I was such a worry wort when it came to the NCLEX! I did take a week off for Christmas, but I studied like no other until then! I will say that I did the HURST Review, and it was the best review I'd ever had! All of the topics from nursing school that were a little hazy became so clear and they taught me how to answer the questions the way the NCLEX wanted me to. Alot of hospitals will reimburse you for a review course once you pass the NCLEX. I know y'all probably thought I fell of the planet, but I just got so busy with Christmas, graduation, my internship, my husband also graduated from UTA, and we were buying a house! Life is less busy now, but I'm starting a RN-BSN program and Jan so we'll see what happens. Best Wishes, Brie
  3. CONGRATS to Yang GN and Jaxia GN!!! It's been so long since I've been here and I'm glad to see that y'all have made it through! What are y'all doing to prepare for the NCLEX? I truly wish y'all the best of luck! Y'all will do just fine...
  4. Well... it's been a year since i've graduated and something just brought me back to this website... maybe because I'm going back to school in Jan! :chuckle What a journey we've had and I'm so thankful for all of the help and aspiring words I've received here. I hope everyone is doing well in their nursing careers! Katie & Allison: Are y'all still on Allnurses?!?! -Brianna
  5. You can enter their program without all of the pre-reqs??? How many pre-req classes did you have to take?
  6. I'm planning on applying for this program this fall.... Has anyone been thru this RN-BSN???
  7. This is my ultimate goal!!! I know this post is ancient, but have you completed your MSN? If so please advise me on your plan and how you did it... I plan on enrolling with UOP in Aug... Thanks!!!
  8. I'm considering enrolling in this program.... Honestly, do you recommend it? Is it doable working full-time (3 12's)??? Thanks in advance!
  9. :balloons:CONGRATS Katie, RN!!!!!:balloons: I knew that you would pass....
  10. Thanks ladies! I've just been wrapped up in studying and my husband and I just bought a house and moved, so my life has been pretty unorganized lately. I hope nursing school is going well for you all!!!
  11. I know it's been awhile since I posted on here, but I just wanted to let you all know that I passed the NCLEX!!!!!! I got 75 and I felt AWFUL.... Good luck Katie, and I KNOW that you will pass!!!!! Brie, RN
  12. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive your GN license or be able to verify it online? I just graduated this month and I really would like to take the NCLEX before the end of January.
  13. If I'm correct, El Centro has a LVN program that is WAY cheaper than Concorde.
  14. Im in Texas and I just took the exit Hesi last friday and I got 998. I went to a Hesi review course and did the practice cd twice that came with the brown Hesi review book. I actually found the test to be very easy and the percentage was the highest of all of my lecture tests this semester. Good luck to you!
  15. I took the HESI review course and I got 998 on my first try. Google it and she where the next one is being held.
  16. Cancer Endocrine Psych Cardiac/Respiratory Neuro HESI
  17. CONGRATS Katie!:balloons: I still cannot believe that we're done... Maybe I'll believe it when my GN license comes in the mail. Oh my clinical and management grades were posted this morning! -Brie, GN
  18. The HESI review that I went to was something that THR provides for their 4th level students. There were a few people there from other places, but they paid to attend. As far as the percentage I don't know how it works but I got 998 and that was 91.23%. It's really individualized because each question has a different value, so there isn't a formula that says a 1000 is a 92%.
  19. The cd had me EXTREMELY worried! The best I did was a 75 and the lowest was a 44. I would have never guessed that I would score 91 on the actual HESI based on the cd... LOL! It was much easier than the cd for some reason, but I was also really focused because I didn't want to fail at the end. When I was doing the cd, I was watching tv, talking to my husband, etc so I probably could have done a little better if I tried. Oh I forgot to say that I also went to a HESI review course, so maybe that helped me too. I did the cd and studied the book that they have us at the review. It's almost like the brown HESI book, but more condensed and the instructor told alot of tricks on how to answer the questions because she actually writes questions for the HESI. I thought it was so funny when I saw her name when I logged in to take the test.
  20. It was the brown HESI NCLEX-RN book in the spiral. It comes with a CD too... I was in the THR program, so they provided it for me, but I'm sure the ECC bookstore has it. It is wonderful and questions prepare you for what you will see on the HESI. Make sure that you read all of the rationales, even if you got the question right.
  21. Not at all... I got an A 1st semester, B 2nd, C 3rd and B 4th. I will say that 3rd and 4th semester content are WAY harder.
  22. I'm still in shock!?!?! *Brie, GN*
  23. I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all or anything, but I thought the HESI was very easy. It was my only A and highest test grade for the semester. Make sure that you read all of the HESI hints in the boxes and do the cd tests (I did each one twice).
  24. I'm doing the Hurst Review January 7-9, so I would like to take the NCLEX pretty soon after that like no later than Jan 31. I heard that we will recieve our GN licenses sometime next week and our ATT should be with that.
  25. Thanks everyone.... I'm sooooooo happy! My husband's graduation is on Sunday so this is truly going to be a celebration weekend! Happy Holidays to everyone!
