I believe I received the email because I accepted admission. It said welcome to my star and gave me a user ID and a student ID along with how to retrieve my new password.

I was also placed on the waitlist. I believe they put about 30-40 people on there. Just a reminder that there are hundreds of applicants every cycle and that being on the waitlist and even landing an inteview is a big win. Keep your heads up.

Hey guys I also got waitlisted and also received the email regarding the background check. I got waitlisted on the 29th of Jan.

As I've seen in other threads this is usually a good sign :)

I haven't interviewed yet but mine in on the 10th of November. I also got the email about fall 2018 application cycle being open. Now I'm worried.

The last interview day that was on the email they sent me was Dec 4.
