Hi, I am in the process of getting my RN license switched to California in search of PRN jobs. Preferably a position that allows me to work 3 shifts a month. I have a little over a year experience in the hospital setting, along with leadership, and float pool experience. What are the odds of me landing a job at an hospital? How long on average does it take? What are some good hospitals ( easier) to get in to? Thank you

Hi All! Im so happy that I found this thread. Does anyone know the base pay for RN's after internship? Are there differentials, or bonuses? I have already interviewed and am already a nurse but I will be a graduate RN. I'm hoping to receive an offer from them and another hospital. I know how much the other one pays, I just don't know about Med City. It ultimately will decided which one I choose to go with.

Congrats guys! I was accepted too! Does anyone know how their program works? 1.Minimum passing grades? 2.What is the score needed to pass the entrance math test? If not met will we be kicked out of the program? 3. Minimum HESI exit scores to pass the course? 4. How many days a week are we expected in class/clinical? I had a really bad experience with my previous school, so just trying to know what to expect, thanks!

Hey you guys! I just graduated from my LPN program on 8/13 and am scheduled to take my NCLEX 8/29. I wanted to know about anyone's /experience/success with Pearson Vue Examcram? It says to score a 77% on its exams before scheduling your exam. I just finished my first exam and scored a 72%. I'm pretty optimistic considering I have about 7 more days to go. Thanks for your help!

Thank you anothervietguy! And yes their program was suspended but it is now back up and running. The ADN program doesn't start until Spring 2019.. however the LVN program ( I didn't apply to) reached out to me and asked me if I would be interested in getting a head start by starting this Fall. They'll roll me into the LVN-RN program next fall, which will put me at graduating about six months earlier than their ADN program I was hoping to get into in Spring. I feel pretty lucky...There is still a bit of red tape for me to cross before it's official, but I think It'll be fine. I will still post back in October once I hear from Becky. I wish you guys all the luck!

I was told October. If I am accepted I am going to decline since I recently got accepted to El Centro's Program.

I got accepted to the LVN program, so I will see you guys tomorrow. I decided to go for it because as I wait for the decision letters from the ADN programs, there's no guarantee I will be accepted. Atleast with the LVN I will have my foot in the door and make decent pay while get my higher degrees. I understand everyones situation is different and I wish everyone the best of luck in any of your endeavors!

Hi Thurman, that sounds really good, did she guarantee though? The reason I ask is because I spoke with an advisor who stated the complete opposite. I am anxious to get started however I dont want to add on additional time.

You guys I just got an email about being considered for the LVN program because they have vacancies. Im considering it, but does anyone know if they will automatically transition you to ADN program and the time length it will take?

Hi Shall, Unfortunately it sounds like you are being ignored. Usually the dept gets back with me within 24hrs but Im assuming they are overwhelmed with trying to meet their accreditation requirements. I can't speak to the scheduling but I was told by the advisor that things were looking good for them and that it's a possibility that classes may still start in Fall, but more than likely they will in January. I still plan on reapplying for them for this upcoming application period. Best of luck to you!

This school is right across the street from me. I am studying for the PSB and am scheduled to test 5/9. I already took it once (didnt study), it is much harder than the hesi. Hoping to do better this time! What are you using to study?

At this point I am so frustrated, almost 2 years of pre-reqs for el centro, for nothing. Im going to the school on Monday for more answers. I would apply for MVC but the application is lengthy, it wants $50 for a background check and I dont have PE. Not sure if its worth it, I just feel so overwhelmed, Im frustrated for all of us!

Wow!!! I cannot believe this! I didnt even get an email. Im thinking I need to wait until April 15th to hear back from school I am sooo pissed!! Someone mentioned speaking to Jesse. What good do you think that will do? I pray that this changes, we need to complain to someone!

Yes, I would submit everything thats health related. I just submitted mine tonight.
