Here's one more organization to add to the long list of nursing organizations (not much for kid nurses though!) The Society of Pediatric Nurses- a great group working to further pediatric issues in nursing.

This seems to be a trend in a lot of areas because the business types feel that nurses can't handle the "business" end of health care. I live in the Portland, Oregon area.
