Private education loan which doesn't require income..

Published

 Hello there,

Does anyone there know any private education loan provider would give loan to some one who doesn't have any income proof? I haven't worked but my husband recentely got unemployed. I can't really use him as a co-signer since he has BK history.. I already have had a BA degree so I 'm not qualified for any federal financial aid.. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Just because you already have a BA does not mean you do not qualify for federal student aid. I have a BA degree and am taking nursing program pre-reqs as a non-degree student, but I still am able to get unsubsidized Stafford Loans to cover tuition and living expenses. As a non-degree student with a degree, I had to get a certification form signed by my College of Nursing advisor stating that the courses I'm taking are required for entry to the program.

Please check with your school's financial aid office.

Best wishes!

Thanks! I talked to the fiancial aid, they said even if I'm already a nursing student, I am not qualified for any financial aid period.. .. :o I guess every state has different policy. When I was in NC, I was about to get stafford loans regardless of my BA degree. Now I'm in TX, the CC I'm attending gives me a BIG NONO..

I'm in your situation too, where I do not qualify for student loans. I have a BA and a MBA. So, I am paying cash.

I am not rich. I saved up money for Nursing school expenses over the years.

This past Semester (Spring 2006) I was able to take a full-load for the first and last time to knock out many of my co-reqs and this Summer I will knock out the rest. Once I enter an ADN Nursing School program I will not have any classes other then Nursing courses.

I am working part-time and will continue to work part-time when I am accepted into the Nursing program to cover living expenses my husband's paycheck won't cover. But my major Nursing School expenses such as tuition, books, and supplies are going to be covered by Savings. Good luck.

You answered the question. I don't know of any state that will give you loans to get an ADN when you already have a BA/BS.

And I don't think that's fair at all. I think you should get SOMETHING - isn't there supposed to be a "nursing shortage"?
