priority questions

could someone pls explain to me........ is it a good thing to have lots of priority questions on the nclex?

I just passed the NCLEX....I had a ton of priority questions. It shut off at 95. I really did not think that I failed because I had all those priority questions and thought that I knew most of them. But the mind goes crazy waiting for 48 hours and by the time I checked the quick results I WAS SURE THAT I HAD FAiLED...good luck to you!

:wink2: congratulations on passing!

and yes, priority questions are a "good thing." they are the highest level that you can get. the more that you had, the better.

Thanks... I did use the Saunders ...reviewed as you said the rationales for the ones I got right and the ones I got wrong. I really feel that the CD and the book were very useful and very similar to the questions asked on the NCLEX.:kiss :kiss

i did get a ton of priority questions and my test ended at 96. It is a week today i took the test and still nothing. I called the BON and the guy said it might take up to 2weeks for me to find out. I wish i could say for sure that i passed. I am so scared. Pls keep your fingers crossed for me

I am a little confused. What are priority questions and why are they good.

Fingers and toes crossed!!! Do you live in a state where you can get quick results? I live in CA but I applied for licensure in Nevada so was able to get the quick results.

This is my understanding of priority questions. The question will ask what to do first in a situation, who to assess first out of 4 pts, what pt to assign to a lpn or cna, or my all time favorite...a pt comes in with whatever signs and symptoms, what do you anticipate the dr to order? I guess the priority questions indicate the higher level questions on the NCLEX .

i took my boards in CA so it is taking foreveer to get the results. I just called again and they said only one person is in charge of posting the results so it could take a while. Infact he said i might get the result in the mail before i see it online.

Sorry to hear that you did not make this exam. In California, you need to wait 90 days before you can retest. I want you to take the next few days for yourself just to regroup, etc., then you will begin preparing again. And we will get you thru the exam.............:)

Which part of Ca are you in? Send me your e-mail address by private message, do not post it here, and I will inlcude you when I do my next mailing.
