Pretty sure I failed the NCLEX-RN

Now what? I tried the PVT trick and got the "The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time", *** does that mean? I only got to 80 something questions and I could "feel" the questions getting dumber and dumber. I mean I even think they repeated a question as if to ask if I was really sure of my first response!

What sucks is that I got hired as a new grad in the ED locally. What happens now? I'll probably get fired since they can only keep new grads for so long and my time is almost up. I mean why continue to train me if I am not going to be allowed to work there? And what if they drop me down to a tech? I know they are in need for one but do I stick around as a tech feeling embarrassed that I failed? Everyone kept telling me that I would pass so it would be highly embarrassing when I have to tell them I didn't.

I'm a career changer so I could easily go back to being a software developer. It is just hard for me to believe since I've been doing really well so far in my job. Everyone has been really impressed with my skills and how I am performing at work. It just seemed the questions I got were so damn random and none of the "tips" everyone said to follow seemed to be applicable to the questions I got. By tips I mean the whole Identify the topic -> Determine if assessment or implementation -> Does Maslow fit -> ABC etc.

I don't know what I am going to do. I just needed a place to rant. What do I do now?

Hi Gurmo, doesnt sound like you failed to me. try the pvt again and wait for official results. and dont worry about what other people think of your situation. the nclex exam changed april 1, making it more difficult so they dont know what we had to go thru. Hopefully you were sucessful, if not dont give up. God bless you future RN:D

Yeah what's up with that? If there was one thing I frig-gin ROCK at it is drug calcs. That and even most pharm questions. I love lab value questions, got none. No maternal or pregnancy questions (which is funny because I sucked at those in the HESI and I made sure to study up on that).

LOL,we are the same! I focused and give big time studying in OB,endocrine illnesses but they gave me always Infection control, drugs (which is a sucker) and pedia situation. I don't know why the hell didn't give me drug calcu? LOL.. But I haven't tried the Pearsonvue Trick yet, I'm scared.

YES infection control HAD to be like 35% of the questions. What was up with that? I understand it is important but seriously. I also got a lot of priority questions.

OMG I just tried it again and got the "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Does this mean I passed? I am seriously freaking out.

Congrats new rn I'm happy for you. You can breath now lol and relax just wait for official results and pals let us know. I'm in panic my nclex is in 3 days and I hate Satan questions and from what I see those are common. I feel good priorizing hope to get some of those. Congrats again

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!you passed;i got the samething when i took mine on saturday and sure enough on monday,i checked through quick result and it says passed.Just and relax your brain now,you did it!
