  1. I graduated in Philippines just this March. I didnt took the Local Board, I just proceed to take the NCLEX exam and was so grateful that I pased. Since,I went back here in US since April,I didn't worked even part time coz I really want to stay focused in studying. Now,my problem is, what will I put in my resume coz I have no work experience, only my clinical duties which I am proud that I did 1000+ coz its the required hours in Phil. and what will I put that will make it stand out and give me an edge to others who have experiences. I know it is a hard time to look for a job now given that Vegas (where I live) hits hard of recession. Thank you for your help.
  2. Question, what if I'm a just a newly licensed nurse? I have no experience except of course my clinical experiences when I was still studying.
  3. After reading this thread,my confidence in joining the army become to falter. Being a new licensed nurse, it was really my dream to be a navy/air force nurse. But reading all you're experiences,I guess I'm not that ready to enter the military world. It's like I'm torn between 2, My dream and my capacity of accomplishing all the boot camps, trainings, etc etc. Being a female,I didn't saw it as a hindrance but because of my past health issues ( 2 operations and asthmatic when I was a kid). Thank you guys but please enlighten me if indeed it will be worth it in joining the military.
  4. Thank you for your advice. I am a BSN La Salle graduate in Phil. Yes,Im planning to work in rehab or psych then while I'm there,I would apply and wait for my call (hopefully!)
  5. I am planning to apply here in US. Maybe in navy/airforce.
  6. I passed my exam just yesterday and really, its my dream to be a navy/military nurse. But I want to know what are the requirements, what trainings should I expect to undergo. I don't want my gender (female) and my race (filipino) to be affected for my qualification.
  7. I am a recent Nclex passer. Just yesterday. After I found I passed, a question stucked in my head "now what?" coz here in our state they're not hiring new nurses coz they have no budget to train. I'm thinking of joining the military but I'm asking myself if I can make it. Im confused coz in the news nurses are one of the high demand jobs and look.

  9. Got my name after 3 days! wohoo! pop up really works!
  10. just wait patiently. coz i wasn't expecting it. My mom was the one who checked on the site and was freak out when she shouted and jumped.
