Presenting school nurse data

We are trying to develop a proposal to ask for more administrative support for the school nurses in our district. What data/reports do you use to accurately portray your workload and acuity? I think there was a thread on this before but I must not be searching the right terms. Thank you in advance!

I don;t do this personally because I am in a small school, but for those nurses who see a ton of kids per day and are responsible for hundreds of kids, I would find a way to log/keep track of the following:

Every phone call in minutes. Think of all the calls you make, including those you call several times to chase down forms, documents, etc.

Every student visit, both reason and time in minutes. In Power School I log time in and time out so I know how long the student was in my office

The time it takes per chart/school document review so you can accurately show how long and tedious chart review is

Each and every screening you do (vision, etc.). Log in minutes per screening

Have all in columns on a spread sheet. Even if you just tracked those for two weeks you would probably shock the crap out of administration. They have no idea how busy we are

Keep track of minutes educating/talking to staff and faculty in regards to their students. Things like Epipen training and going over field trip information with teachers can take up a good chunk of our time!

We submit a monthly report to our head nurse who compiles the data for administration. PM me with your email address and I can send you the form we use.
