I have just completed my first semester after being out for a little over 6 years. My last two semesters in 06-07 I had to withdraw due to medical and personal reasons. So I have two semesters worth of W grades, they do not affect my GPA but cannot be removed from my transcript. My question is, do you think I will penalized because of this? The schools i am looking to apply to are Lehman, Adelphi and others. Most schools have a policy of no more than one Withdrawal, but also no grades older than 5 years. Does the timing of the W grades play toward my advantage? Thanks for answering.
