Waiting for acceptance/rejection tonight!!!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi all, I have been trying for sooooo long to get into nursing school. I know you all can relate! I keep checking my email-but I really probably don't have a chance of getting into Sacramento State. I want this so badly though!

So, if this is not out of order, please, say alittle prayer for me(if you are so inclined). If I put this in God's hands I can't be too disappointed if its a no-go again. It just wasnt meant to be.

If anyone ever needs any encouragement or a prayer in return-just hit me up, I will be glad to return the favor.:monkeydance:

Love to you all in cyberspace!

Sorry you didn't get accepted but don't give up!

Thank you 2BRN-its actually my 3rd rejection-at least I have more places I can apply to-or just wait until my number comes up on the "first come first served" schools that I am already accepted to. Trouble is that could be two more years. I'm so revved up to start! I was thinking maybe I should just calm down, chill and be with my kids, have fun, maybe take a class for fun-like piano or voice or whatever-and quit trying be beat a dead horse. My first instinct however is to frantically search for a new place to apply, find ways to improve my GPA, or how to learn another language. It just gets so tiring, finding out you are not good enough. Time after time!

Actually I was going to make these suggestions (re-take classes to improve your GPA and find other schools to apply too if possible). I was not sure if you had not done so already. I know it sounds crazy, but I'll bet people who placed above you did these very same things. Not many people get accepted a first time.

Go to your counselor and ask for advice. Find out how you can improve yourself. If it is not possible at your current school, I am sure it is possible somewhere else!

Have fun when you start-let us know how it goes. P.S. my stepson is in 1st sem ADN program, he is doing clinicals already and says the lecture classes are crazy hard! NOt to scare you, you sound like a smart cookie to me! Cheers!

Thanks. Actually I am not scared. I am excited. Receiving my MBA was no cake walk either. The retention rate was 30% for my MBA program. Day one I told myself I would be one of the 30% to graduate and I am! :) I am not happy when I am not challenged or working in a challenging environment, so nursing school is the right fit for me. I might actually miss it when it is over and join the military to make up for the lack of stimulus. :lol2:

do you have another school option as a back up plan? it has nothing to do with your abilities, but lottery! blessings, keep us posted k?

Awww...*HUGS*...I'm still waiting for my letter...just a mix emotion waiting for something you long for...Keep trying though and never give up...it's your dream, and you will get in...it is true there are so many applicants and so little space...Sometimes I wonder why don't they accpet more students...since we are in shortages of nurses...

I'm so sorry :(

I know you will eventually get in, don't ever give up. I was denied 2 times and was excepted on my 3rd try, so it can happen.

I know there is a shortage of nurses and the reason why it is so hard to get in is because of what nurses we do have only a handfull will teach. I plan on working and teaching when I'm done with my BSN, I want to be able to give back and help other ppl who want to be a nurse.
