Three Bad Things

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I hope that bad things happen in threes because quite frankly I cant take any more.

On May 4 my wife of 24 years died of a pulmonary emboli. It happened so suddenly I didnt even have a chance to say goodbye to her. She herself was in the medical field for over 30 years and helped thousands and thousands of people. She was unquestionably the finest person I have met on this earth and I miss her so much.

Last week I was rushed to the emergency room with an intestinal blockage due to an abdominal hernia. I will be having repair surgery next week.

Yesterday I got a letter from my CC that said that I was put on a wait list despite the fact that I have a gpa of 4.0

Thanks for listening to my problems.

Paul-I am so sorry for your loss and all your troubles. You'll be in my prayers. Just remember: God doesn't put more on us than we can handle and what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. Best of luck with your surgery and please keep us posted.

My condolences to you also for your loss. I know that with your loss, your own health health problem, and not being accepted to the school, this must be a very, very difficult time for you. Take one day at a time, and try and lean on the things and people that you are close to. I wish you all the best. John

I'm so sorry Paul. That is so sad. I don't even know what to say. :o

Just know that I can relate to your pain about your local CC. I too have a 4.0 GPA and didn't even make it into my first choice CC this year! They went by lottery and had 472 qualified applicants apply for 64 spots. Needless to say I was quite depressed last week. However today I got a letter from a CC 200 miles away saying I am officially on their waiting list at #157. It will be about 2 years before I get in, but at least it's a back-up plan for somewhere! Does your waiting list stay the same, or do you get kicked out if you don't make it in that year and have to reapply?

Blessings,

Paul,

God bless you. You have had to endure so much pain, but you know what, you are so strong and full of life and kindness to be thinking of entering into this field in order to help others. You will succeed, and just know that god loves you. Take care of yourself and smile.

Melissa
