Hello to one and all! I'm Laura G (one of 3 Laura's in our class!) and I'll be joining you at COR for our journey into nursing...finally! I got the email today about that class in progress and I got excited, but I didn't want to just blindly email everyone, especially since they don't know who I am!

I would love to 'meet' my fellow classmates though. What are you doing to get ready? Anything? Are you relaxing? Making as much money as you can before school starts? Taking a nice vacation perhaps?

How many of you are moving to attend COR? (I am!) Where are the best places to look for (and not too expensive) housing up there? Any scoops on the best places to eat, shop, etc.?

I thought I'd start a thread for us to get to know each other until we could meet in person (or until I get a Facebook or MySpace page :)).

I know this post is old, but I was hoping you could give me some info about College of the Redwoods. I am applying to the LVN program next month and I am trying to figure out what is the average wait to get into the LVN program after applying? Do you know how long the wait is for the LVN-RN and RN program? I've been trying to figure this out, but I can't seem to find anyone who knows about the waitlists. The school wont tell me for some reason.

Since you've been at College of the Redwoods for a while (your post is from 2009), could you tell me if you like the campus and how do you like the Eureka area?
