San Joaquin Delta College (SJDC) ADN Fall 2015

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello all. I applied to SJDC nursing program for fall 2015. Anyone else apply and want to chat about it? They will be updating the application this Friday to let us know whether or not we can submit information.

Hi beecool. I also applied to the Nursing program at delta. You mind me asking what was your total points. I got all B's on my science courses and 80 on my TEAS but i also qualify for points in speaking another language and for having a license as a CNA.

Hi JunelMar,

I calculated: science pre-requisites (27 pts.), other pre-requisites (6 pts.), TEAS (24 pts.), BS degree (5 pts.), EMT certification (2 pts.), bilingual (2.5 pts.), and life experience (2.5). 69 points total based on their screening form.

I also applied to ARC, I have 80 points based on their criteria but their selection process is just lottery for the top applicants.

did you check the status online. are you being ask to send documentations?.

Yes! Did you? Did you apply to any other program?

I try to log in but it says "no records were found in the database.." does anyone else have this problem?! it's after I type in my ID # && birthday.

I'm not sure, did you make sure it's set on fall 2015? I know there are a lot of semesters in the drop down box.

I'm actually applying to modesto college as well. And Merced College. and Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz. pretty far. where else have you applied too.

I applied to ARC, SJDC, and Butte College which is more north going towards Redding. That is the one I want the most because it is closer to me but if I get into SJDC I'll sacrifice and make the drive. I am not sure how good my chances are though. I wish they were not as strict with pre-reqs. I took my nutrition and English class almost 10 years ago and got a B in both of them but recently retook them since some schools consider them expired and got an A in both. Some posts from previous semesters say people with points in the 50's have gotten in but others say mostly people with points in the 70's got in so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

you have a great chance of getting in especially with a BS degree and your EMT certification. but wow. where are you from?

I'm from Sacramento but I live by Redding now. If I don't get into any program this application period I will probably retake the TEAS. I was going to apply to an entry level MSN but the tuition is expensive so I want to get an ADN first then do a fast track MSN. Are Modesto or Merced merit based?

Im from Stockton actually. question. They are asking for "course descriptions" for each prerequisite we have taken. Is this is a downloadable paper that we fill out or i don't understand how do we go about turning a course description. lol do you?
