I have taken Intro to Psych and made a "C"...So now I am going to retake it to raise my GPA. I also need to take LifeSpan Growth & Develop (another Psych course). Should I take these two together or do they usually overlapp? Thanks!

They do overlap, but if you found Psych hard then maybe you should just take them one at a time. Most of the over lapping is in the theories. But, if you just goofed off then taking both shouldn't be a problem.

At my school you do not have to take Psych 1 before you take human growth and development. I took both and you do not need one before the other. I agree with the above poster. If it was a hard class for you I would not recommend two at a time, but if you took it when you were younger and just goofed off or something -but are more serious now- I think you could do it. Depending on the teacher, most Psych classes are pretty easy, at least in my opinion.

I just took them both together this semester, and I found that the overlap was actually helpful and cut down on some studying time.

I would take them separately. My school won't allow 2 classes that overlap to be taken in the same semester. Good luck :)

I just took Psych and Human Growth (along with Sociology) this past semester and I loved how all three classes covered most of the same subjects... It made it easier for me

I took them both at the same time and had no problems, but I do love psych and am thinking of double majoring as a backup. I also got a C the first time around, but I had to have surgery and was bedrest for 3 weeks, so that really hurt me. I think it will be fine. I got A's in both and found it quite easy to do both together. Good luck!
