Any advice on questions, what to wear, what to expect, I'M SO NERVOUS! I got my letter today, December 3rd, @ 8:30am..whew. Do I wear slacks? heels? thanks for to all in advance!!

Hi Amy - sorry I don't have any answers for you, but I was just thinking about this very thing today, so I'll be watching the replies. Are you in Northern or Southern California?

Specializes in SRNA.

i would approach it in the same manner as a job interview, as far as attire, a suit is never overdressed in an interview setting. if you are more comfortable in separates, a nice trouser/boot combo with a button down shirt or nice sweater would be fine i would imagine. no jeans, khakis or flip flops! most importantly, remember to make sure that you wear something you are comfortable in, so you won't be nervous or twitchy and you can portray your personality in an accurate and personable light.

good luck!

Hi SparklyGirl, I'm in Northern Calf, Stockton to be exact, south of Sacramento. Yes I have an interview in 7days and am a bit nervous. When is yours?

I was accepted into a Private University as well. The interview process was a little, actually VERY, frightening. I made myself scared because the interviewer was actually very nice and answered a lot of my questions.

I wore black dress pants, black flats (pumps are ok try to stay away from high heels), and a button up dress shirt that was a mid-sleeve length. The other people waiting in the lounge to be interviewed were dressed very much the same. Our school has a VERY STRICT dress code. When students are in pre req classes they wear the aforementioned business attire, guys wear slacks and shirts with ties. Core classes we wear pre-determined colored scrubs.

If you are the hands-have-to-be-busy type, I would suggest placing your hands just under your legs on either side so you are not wiggling around the hole time due to nerves, I am this way.

Relax and when you sit down take a REALLY big breath and let it out so that you can calm down a little. Most of all, be yourself. They see fake people and can see right through it.

GOOD luck and keep us posted.

Well tomorrow morning is the Interview day for me! I'm very nervous , wow. I'm trying to make sure my clothing is perfect, and I can keep myself (thoughts) together. Any last minute advice would be perfect!!!!

Hi nurse2b amy,

I had my interview on thursday of last week. It went very well. The only advice I can give you is to stay calm. Sit tall, think about your answers before speaking them, you dont want to look too prepared. Just be yourself, let your personality shine through.

My prayers are with you
