Please advise, I am very behind...

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey all, it's been a while since posting. I am beside myself right now. I just started my second semester of many and I am totally behind. We started in August and I am taking pre-algebra and ab. psych. I haven't studying once for psych and am really behind in math too.

I have been working and taking care of the kids and house and there isn't enough time for anything. I am so afraid because I don't know how I am going to catch up. 5 or 6 chapters have gone by in psych and the same in math ad I haven't even scratched the surface.

If anyone can help, please do. Thank you! :crying2:

Maybe you're too busy for school at the moment. It might be best for you to drop this semester. What's the point of taking these classes if you're just going to do bad in them and you might have to take them over?

Or maybe you can just drop one of the classes so that way you can completely concentrate on one subject.

If you don't want to drop any of the classes, then you're gonna have to formulate a SERIOUS plan for ORGANIZING your life and your TIME MANAGEMENT. You have to find time where you can set aside AT LEAST an hour to study every day.

Not saying this is what you should do, but just an example:

Work 9am-5pm

Rest, dinner, play with kids

Put kids to bed 8pm or 9pm

Study for an hour

Go to bed 10:30pm or 11pm (maybe earlier depending on when kids sleep)

Like I said, it's just an example to give you and idea.

Good luck!

You are absolutely right about having to get organized with time, etc. I don't want to quit this semester but if things keep going like this, I may have to.

Thanks for the advice.

I agree with the post above. Maybe it is not the right time, or you definitly have to make some time for your studying. I am too so overwhelmed with work family and school. I am taking anatomy and physiology, sociology and a stress mngmt class and woa the A&P class is wicked. lots of info I cant let myself even miss an hour of that class. You need to set a scheadule, I read on my lunch break, I read before class, and then after class. I hope u catch up, good luck 2 u.
