  1. You are absolutely right about having to get organized with time, etc. I don't want to quit this semester but if things keep going like this, I may have to. Thanks for the advice.
  2. i am scared to death! also afraid of working with doctors because of all the horror stories i hear about belittling docs.
  3. Hey all, it's been a while since posting. I am beside myself right now. I just started my second semester of many and I am totally behind. We started in August and I am taking pre-algebra and ab. psych. I haven't studying once for psych and am really behind in math too. I have been working and taking care of the kids and house and there isn't enough time for anything. I am so afraid because I don't know how I am going to catch up. 5 or 6 chapters have gone by in psych and the same in math ad I haven't even scratched the surface. If anyone can help, please do. Thank you!
  4. OK, at the risk of looking like an idiot, I am going to put myself out there and tell you exactly how bad I was in math LOL. Before starting this semester, which is my first of many pre-nursing semesters, I was so bad in math that I couldn't help my 4th grade son do his math homework. YES THAT BAD! Fast forward to today, I am taking my math class final tomorrow and I have gotten an A on every single test! I can now do math! It took the right teacher and my own motivation and willingness to learn to do it but I did! I did so poorly in high school in math that I thought I was stupid well guess what, I actually like math now and realized that in high school, I didn't care or try. I also am taking my Biology final today and have gotten an A on every test. Coming from me thats alot. I didnt do well in school although I was tested mentally gifted. That just goes to show I didnt try like I COULD HAVE. You can do it! If I can, anyone can!!
  5. Thank you! Your reply was very encouraging and I really appreciate your advice. Thank you so much. I will keep everything in mind.
  6. I won't be able to apply for clinicals until 2007 due to all my pre-req's
  7. Thanks for the advice and information! It's much appreciated :) Rei
  8. I posted this under oncology but no one responded but I just found this thread so hopefully someone can help me here? Hello everyone. I am starting my pre-nursing school this Thursday. I have always had an interest in Oncology due to my grandmother's history of cancer. She passed due to cancer in 1996. I am especially interested in Hospice since those are the wonderful people who aided us in her final months. After pre-nursing school, I will be entering into a 2 year RN program. Will I be able to work in Hospice upon graduation? Any helpful hints? I thank you in advance...ReiPie p.s. I am 27 yrs old, married with 2 kids (10 yrs and 16 months old).
  9. That' so sad that you didn't go back to nursing after that. Were you a RN for a long time? I am in pre-nursing school now and I dread the day my first med mistake happens. God bless.
