Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Anyone else out there waiting for decisions? I got my Math test scores in the mail today. Now, the waiting game continues...

My current classes will definitely serve as a great distraction, however. I'm taking A&P II and Micro! Lord, Help Me!!!!

Specializes in My son...for now..

To go into the advanced option all of the requirements for the pre-reqs must be completed. Have you taken religious studies 41? The religious bioethics course, if not, then you will certainly not advance. I finished all the pre-reqs except bio ethics early..a semester early and they advanced me into the nursing portion but the religious ethics must be taken prior to the beginning of the second year... but based on the heavy workload, I'd get this taken care immediately.

PS.. I have also heard that Roy Adaptation might be streamlined to be later on in the program. Dr. Blatti is also working to make pharm 16 weeks instead of eight.. In this case, you should get all of the writing classes out of the way.

Specializes in I live for the ER..

I am graduating from the Mount in a few weeks and I pretty much recruited all of my friends into the school. One of them got into the advance track and did not have the relig. study course yet. so it is possible.

Also, two of my friends scored 72-78 on the same test you took and they got in just fine.

There is hope!

Nope... rules changed as of Fall 08..I fought this, cause the attrition rate is so low after first 16 weeks and religious studies is non-transferable ...just in case one can't make it through the program.. Needless to say, my argument fell on deaf ears. Relig studies must be done prior to the beginning of the second year as of now...was told that they are trying to get it into the pre-req requirement. Also, it is just best to get it out of the way... the load is very heavy if you have other things like kids, work, etc.
