Help for Hesi entrance exam

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi, I'm currently trying to get into a BSN program. I've taken the hesi once and for the school I want to go to I needed a 73 to be considered for the program and I scored 73.3% I have the choice to take it one more time and I want to. I did really good on vocab and reading. But I need higher than a 72 in chem, bio, and A&P. I have the hesi admission assessment exam review edition 4 and I found it didn't help much on bio, A&P and even vocab. So I really need help getting a higher score in especially biology and A&P. What more could/should I do? Is there extra study materials (books or websites) anyone could recommend? I would really appreciate it!!!

While I do not have experience with the Hesi exactly, I would recommend checking out the portion of the Students tab that is dedicated to the Hesi. You may be able to get some great tips there.

YouTube also has some great resources. For the TEAS, I actually tried to find people who posted videos about their experiences taking this entrance exam, how they studied, how long they studied, resources they used, etc. Ideally, I would have given myself more time to study, but I am working and still taking courses. Fortunately, I had a good grasp on everything I had learned and scored high for both the nation and my Program. There are also some great YouTube channels that can help with the sciences like Khan Academy, Armando Hasudungan, Dr. Fink, and Crash Course. Once again, I am not sure exactly what you need to know for the Hesi, but I do wish you the best!

I used and liked the pocket prep app for the HESI A2 when I was applying to nursing school. I didn't have to take the bio or chem sections myself so can't speak to the quality of questions in the app but the other sections: grammar, A&P, math, vocab, reading comp where really helpful. Much better than the HESI review book alone.
