Hello!!! Did you go to CCBC? I took Micro there.

This is an excellent microbiology course website. It's an actual course, but you can view the lectures, labs etc. It's fabulous!!!!

I like to review experiements that are like the ones I am doing in my own class, just before test. it's a great review tool.

Hugs!

Hello! Have you applied for the Nursing Program there yet (At CCBC)? I did and didn't get in! I was very upset. I got into Harford Community College so I got over it!!!

Hey I GO there now! LOL!

What was your GPA?

I just applied for Spring just today- I had my interview ( they just started interviews). I won't find out until November. I *hope to god* I get in.

BTW I am very glad to hear about Dr. Kaiser. I'm taking Micro with him in the Fall as my last pre-req.

BTW I meant to ask you....do you live near Harford County? I am not trying to put all my eggs in one basket so I am thinking I will also apply to Howard County ..I looked up Harford and it's almost an hour from Catonsville...correct? I don't know if I should apply there as well b/c of the commute ( 95 traffic UGH).

My G.P.A was around 3.6. I took a lot of the classes at Harford when I used to live up there. I know CCBC gave extra points for the number of classes you took there. Wow, they do interviews now!?! Have you taken the TEAS Exam yet? I bought the study book. You are welcome to have it if you'd like. I live in Baltimore so it's about a 45min drive to Harford. If you live South of Harford you won't have to deal with the traffic because it's going the opposite way! I live about 15mins from CCBC Essex and about the same from CCBC Catonsville. I can't say enough about Dr. Kaiser. He will tell you exactly what needs to be studied to do well on his exams and practicals. The only way you could do badly in his course is if you don't study! He makes his own book that cost like $40. He lectures off of those so I didn't take one note!!! I got a B in the course. I would have gotten an A but I had other things that took up my time.

Wow I can't believe you had a 3.6 and you didn't get in. The interviewer I had yesterday told me that the cut off for fall was around 3.45. I guess you are saying that CCBC gives you MORE points for the MORE classes you take at CCBC and that you taking a lot of classes at Harford hurt you? That seems so awful to me..but at least you got into Harford! I have taken all my classes at CCBC except the 3 I transferred in from when I first went to college 14 years ago ( Eng 101, Psych 101, Speech 101)

I take the TEAS on September 10th. I have the book but thanks for the offer! I live in Catonsville...so I am south of Harford. I just asked for admission info from them so I think I will apply there for Spring as well. I hope I don't run in to the same problem as you did- considering I haven't taken a single class there.

I already have Dr. Kaiser's supplements " The Grapes of Staph" LOL. I have slowly been looking over them. He's dating/married/ the teacher I had for Molecular Bio Lab and she was the most laid back teacher I have ever had...if he's anything like her I will be very happy!

Yes, it did hurt me that I took most of my classes somewhere else. Sorry if I didn't make much sense earlier, it's been a LONG week!! I would apply to as many schools as you possibly could. I think Howard requires Nutrition which I didn't do so I didn't apply there. I know Baltimore City has a program but I don't know if it's good or not. Then there's Anne Arundel too. Anne Arundel didn't even consider my application because I wasn't in their county!! Their county started one street over!!!!
